My life without sleep

Sometimes I think my body is allergic to sleep. It started in 1980 when I moved from Ohio to Texas. Some weeks I'd go 3 days straight with no sleep. OTC sleep meds like unison, Benadryl, and Nyquil would make me so drowsy I couldn't keep my eyes open, but wouldn't fall asleep.

I've tried everything to treat insomnia

Since then I've tried every otc, prescription, blue light blocking glasses, aroma therapy, CBD, known to man and they do not help at all. I spent the night in a sleep clinic and found out that i don't have apnea or restless leg syndrome. The only good sleep I get is after my yearly colonoscopy. I've seen advertisements for brain wave headbands and another device that you hold in your hand while in bed but I've fallen for so many sleep scams over the years that I haven't tried any of them. Having chronic insomnia is no picnic. Some days it hard to get out of bed because I'm so tired. I'm always tired. Doctors can't help me. So I just suffer in silence and deal with my condition the best I can.
