My 3 Daily Accomplishments Challenge (Part 2)

This article is the second part of a two-part series. Check out My 3 Daily Accomplishments Challenge (Part 1).

Through this process/challenge, my 3 tiny accomplishments show me that I can and should be so much kinder to myself, no matter how little each of those 3 things is.

I’ve learned that even if it’s the smallest thing, I count that as something.

Things that give you a sense of accomplishment

Here's a quick little list that may even be considered self-care to many that you can verbally express to someone or write down that you've done and have a sense of accomplishment:

Moisturizing your legs

Taking care of your body and taking the time to notice how smooth your legs are or telling yourself how thankful you are that you have these legs, are able to use them, and will do your best to be thankful for the motion and movement you're able to do with your legs. Appreciate them.

Taking a shower

This can be a huge accomplishment. I know some people will snicker if they read this. But when you are chronically fatigued and feel like you can never recover, it's a big accomplishment to write down. A clean body getting into clean sheets – you deserve that. It's a big something...especially if you struggle with depression, chronic pain, and the ins and outs of living with a chronic condition that leaves you exhausted every day.

Connect with a friend

Reaching out to a friend you haven’t texted with in a while is something you can definitely put on your daily list.

Pruning and watering your plants

Keeping something else alive is something to definitely be proud of.

Walking the dog

Taking your dog out for a walk has many benefits; feeling the fresh air on your face is not only good for body and soul but your emotional health as well.

Changing your sheets

Is there anything more comforting than getting into a clean bed, after a shower and enjoying feeling fresh, clean, and smelling the scent of fresh laundry?

Taking a leisurely stroll

Taking a slow walk around the block can do wonders for your mental health and obviously has its physical benefits as well.

Working through your inbox

Responding to an email (even just 1) that you have been putting off for some time.

Taking the garbage out

You deserve to live in a clean environment, despite what your body may make you feel like some days. Take your achy joints and squeaky sockets outside and take the time to breathe in the fresh air for a few minutes.

Tidying up

Picking things up off the floor so that you have a clear path in your house, not full of hair, pieces of garbage that fell out of the can, or things your animals may have hidden underneath the bed.

Empty the garbage cans in each room

A clearer image before you will help you feel more successful during the day and help you accomplish a lot more. Don't put it off and let your garbage can overfill. You deserve to live in a clean, pleasant environment.
