How would you describe your relationship with sleep?

Is your relationship with sleep good, complicated, or non-existent? What have you tried to improve your relationship with sleep? Do you have any tips that you would like to share?

  1. I definitely have a love/hate relationship with sleep. Bedtime used to be my favorite time of day--loved turning in for the night. Anymore, I stay up as late as I can because I know what's coming--hours of dozing off and waking up to toss and turn.

I have done a few things that have helped over the last year or so:

*I am using a contour pillow--helped with neck and upper back pain.
*Recently, I added a weighted blanket into the mix. It's helped a good bit with some of the tossing and turning.
*When things get really rough, I take melatonin.
*My best friend for over two years now has been a noisemaker. I keep it on the white noise setting.

I am not where I want to be yet, but these things have made an improvement.
