Is your insomnia worse on Sunday nights?

Does anyone here have sleep issues on Sunday nights? After being off work for a few days or being on vacation I always have trouble sleeping on Sundays because I have to go back to work. I've had those issues since I was a teen and having to go back to school. I didn't like school and don't like my job so I think it has to do with it. Today I called in sick because I didn't sleep at all last night.

  1. Sunday nights can be such a challenge! It’s like the weekend winds down, but the mind just doesn’t want to. I’ve found that creating a small routine on Sunday evenings helps ease some of that restlessness—things like taking a warm shower, doing a bit of light reading, and even cutting down on screen time. I recently tried using nightease glasses to block blue light from screens in the evening, and it’s made a surprising difference in helping me feel calmer before bed. Hope you find something that helps—it’s all about finding those small tricks that work!

  3. Hi . It must be awfully frustrating to have to pay for a few days off with a lack of sleep. Have you talked with your doctor about it? Have you tried various therapies and/or medications to help you sleep on those nights? I have a feeling you will find you are not alone. Many people become anxious about the need for sleep and that makes their insomnia worse. I hope you get input from others in the community. Thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)
