Struggling with insomnia even when feeling exhausted

Lately I’ve been trying to understand insomnia better because it seems more complicated than just “not being able to fall asleep.” Some nights I feel extremely tired, but my brain just refuses to fully switch off. Other times I fall asleep but wake up several times during the night.

From what I’ve read, insomnia can be linked to stress, screen exposure before bed, irregular sleep schedules, and even poor sleep environments. It seems like once the brain gets used to staying alert at night, it becomes harder to maintain deep sleep.

I recently read a helpful explanation about insomnia and sleep patterns here:
https://lumimind.com/

It talks about how sleep cycles and brain activity can affect sleep quality, which I found pretty interesting.

Curious to hear from others here, What has actually helped improve your sleep?
