Do you deal with nap guilt?

"As someone who has lived with insomnia for quite some time, I'm intimately familiar with the frustration that is needing a nap. Now, this isn't an elective decision to rest, it's one of those things where your body tells you it cannot and will not push forward without taking some type of break to refuel." - Amanda Osowski, Health Leader

Does your insomnia require that you take naps? Do those naps ever make you feel guilty?

  1. Yes, need to at least lay down and rest, always feel guilty

    1. I am sorry that this makes you feel guilty. We certainly need that rest. Do you feel guilty because you are resting or because you are not getting other things done?

  2. Yes all the time. I can't enjoy a nap because I am constantly waking up feeling guilty.

    1. I wish you could nap without feeling guilty, . Does the guilt come from others or from within, or is a confluence of both? Sleep is so critical to good health. I hope that you take those naps when you need them even if you can't enjoy them. Gentle hugs. - Lori (Team Member)
