Managing an extended stretch of terrible insomnia

When you are experiencing an extended stretch of bad insomnia, what areas of your life are most impacted? How do you cope?

  1. I tend to get very irritable with those around me so I make sure I have time to myself every morning before everyone else wakes up to mediate/reflect on home I could negatively impact my children. If I feel myself getting heated I mentally count back from 10. I know that sounds stereotypical, but it helps a lot.
