Dear online insomnia sleeping forum - please see the picture attached which shows my sleep journal I started making about 4 days ago now.

I just tried for the fist time - attaching a direct image in this reddit editor for 'sleep' , but it comes up with the message 'that images are not allowed'.

I could do my best just to 'describe my paper sleep journal - , the sections in text writing.

basically its in a type of format (on paper lines):

Fell asleep:

number of awakenings (or tally of them put by my bed):

Total awakenings

Total sleep time:

Wake Time:

Mood:

Energy levels:

'after I searched into the net ' title entry's names for a sleep journal I came up with a mix of points.

I was keeping this journal I would say for about 4 or 3 days now, and I like it.

However I also feel it has certain problems.

The biggest problem so far I feel with it has been my handwriting, i feel this is because - at the times where I have been 'handwriting in this journal' it has always been in type of 'low energy times, where I am having a circadian response of partial brain fog I feel.

So maybe I should just force myself once at a time I am not tired - to do my 'most neat version' of the journal, then in times i am tallying during the night just try to force myself to be more conscious ?

Something which is another problem I feel is:

I am not able actually to exactly put : 'exact estimates for my actual ' total sleep' time so far.

For the about first 3 days - which I was doing this journal I actually left the 'total sleep ' time blank - sort of feeling confused about how I'm actually suppose to accurately estimate my sleeping based on the fact 'my sleep varies ' a lot , I will have a certain amount of lucid type sleep (still awake sleep) then drop in out types of 'rem cycles' or sleep states .

'and I could share - that after i made that post- when I was doing 'chelation night doses' i felt lacked motivation or energy - to carry it out , for now im just going to track 'non chelation doses - use affirmations to enforce it I wrote

  1. Hi ! Welcome. I'm glad you're here. 😀 Do you think it would be helpful if you used a typed system for your journal, so that you don't have to be worried about the handwriting? Maybe typing on your phone could help get your thoughts down quickly as you are waking up, so you don't have to fight the fog so much?

    You might also consider an app for your phone that monitors sleep -- I know there are many options but have not used any -- but they may be free or more affordable compared to the investment of a smart watch or Oura.

    1. hi melissa - maybe a digital system could work- but then i wouldn't be sure what i would use this 3£ journal i bought for - otherwise? thanks for the idea '

  2. Hi . Welcome to the community! Unfortunately, it's really hard to read the writing in your journal in this photo. That's not your fault. Our software limits the photo size and doesn't allow zooming.
    Have you considered getting a watch or monitor that measures sleep? There are no guarantees of accuracy, but I find my Fitbit super helpful. It gives me a good picture of wake times, level of sleep and oxygen variation.
    Have you had trouble sleeping for long? Has your doctor been of any help? I should note that we are not medical experts. Members might share similar experiences after looking at your log or share what has helped them, but our community rules prohibit people providing medical advice.

    1. I'm so sorry, . I don't know why that might have happened. Could you try writing your response in a Word or Google document and then copying and pasting it? That way, you can save as you type and you won't lose it. - Lori (Team Member)

      1 question about tracker ‘ I wrote – yes , a voice in my head has always repeatedly said: I should try to get ‘ a type of Oura ring similar to ted car.

      I use to use a fit bit (which I think bus have had wifi or G radiation) , then when mark told me wi fi radiation is bad – I stopped using it (and think it improve my sleep.

      Yes- My trouble of sleeping has been long – ever since I had my type of ‘disease health problem happen to myself’.

      It is written about in dr Andy cutlers book’s or Rebeca lee’s book – that something a person with ‘mercury intoxication like myself ‘ has to deal with is insomnia, they should take supporting supplements to deal with it for example.
